Vijaya Bank wants to open at least 150 more branches in the country in the current financial year as part of its network expansion, according to Kishore Sansi, MD and CEO of the bank. The bank will also have two regional offices in the Middle East and Singapore, he added. The bank is investing in Telangana by opening more branches in the new state – at least 8 in the next six months. Sansi said the bank wants to be part of the development of Telangana state, adding the bank’s credit deposit rate in the state is 112%. He also said the bank will open more branches in Andhra Pradesh too.
