United Bank of India launched ‘United eCollect, a digital platform that enables online payment and fee collection services for the bank. The bank has partnered with Worldline, a European leader in financial payments and transactional services industry. Pawan Bajaj, MD and CEO of the bank, said customer convenience is the prime and core factor of making things digital and United eCollect will bring benefits various segments of the society by helping them process their online banking easier. It is one of the best digital innovations, which will help bank in strengthening its CASA and non-interest income and the merchants to get on boarded on the digital platform seamlessly, he added. Deepak Chandnani, MD at Worldline South Asia and Middle East, said with the launch of United eCollect, the bank can provide its diverse base of customers with an enhanced online payment experience and continue their drive towards digital banking. Online payments will be processed through Worldline’s payment gateway for electronic collection.
