Standard Chartered Bank has unveiled its ‘Touch ID’ an innovation on its mobile banking platform, ‘SC Mobile’. This feature is designed to enhance the user experience of the bank’s customers as they have the option of using Touch ID as a replacement for having to type out their username and password to log onto the SC Mobile banking platform. The mobile banking customers of the bank will be offered the chance to log in to their mobile banking application with a fingerprint verification system. This feature will ensure better security as well as a more convenient banking experience. Shyamal Saxena, head, Retail Banking, India at Standard Chartered Bank said the bank is constantly looking at avenues whereby it can strengthen and support its product and service offerings through digital innovations. This feature is currently available on all IOS Touch ID device as well as Android Touch ID devices (Samsung only).
