
Shriram General Insurance has aligned its operations to the government’s Digital India initiative by rapidly increasing its digital presence across platforms. An article in Banking Frontiers says the company reaches out to its customers on different digital platforms – web, email, SMS, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. One of the key social media platforms it utilizes is Facebook, after having launched the Facebook page in August 2015. Anil Kumar Aggarwal, MD & CEO of the company, says the company’s website has approximately 500,000 hits. Besides, the company also saw exceptional growth of over 100,000 followers on its Facebook Page.
Aggarwal also says the company is using Twitter and LinkedIn for creating awareness among its customers about the various products it has. These media have contributed to increasing customer base and support efficiency. Says Aggarwal: “Based on the customer experience and feedback, we are continuously fine tuning our digital service channels on an ongoing basis and enhancing their performance using artificial intelligence.”
