Sumant Kathpalia, who became MD and CEO of IndusInd Bank recently, has reorganized the bank’s top management. He has elevated Arun Khurana, head. Global Markets and Treasury of the bank to deputy CEO. Khurana will also be incharge of transaction banking in his new role. Head of branch banking Soumitra Sen has been given charge of the whole consumer banking business which was headed by Kathpalia before he became CEO. Former COO Paul Abraham’s departments which include IT, technology and corporate services have been split among CFO S.V. Zaregaonkar and Ramesh Ganesan who was earlier in charge of transaction banking. The latter will now be incharge of global market operations and technology. Chief compliance officer Murlidhar Lakhara has been inducted in the senior management team of the bank. Suhail Chander, who was till recently head of corporate banking, has opted to retire. Roopa Sathish, corporate and investment banking in charge and Sanjiv Anand, commercial banking in charge, will now directly report to the CEO.
