State Bank of India won the award for Excellence in Emerging Technologies for Large Enterprises category instituted by the Indian Merchants’ Chamber. The bank won the award for the development and implementation of advanced analytics and predictive modelling within the organization and the significant presence the bank has been able to develop on the external social media sites like Facebook, You Tube and Twitter. The bank said in a statement that it has been heavily leveraging on technology to strengthen its position as a market leader and it is now innovating its business processeses by using advanced analytics tools, business intelligence and predictive models. It is also in the process of developing BI dashboards on mobility devices like smart phones, iPads etc to enable top executives to review performances and take real time decisions.
