State Bank of India is launching a mobile wallet, SBI Buddy. With this the bank will be entering the wallets business, which already has players like HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank. SBI Buddy is available to both customers of the bank as well as others, who are registered for the service. The bank has tied up with several merchants. Finance minsiter Arun Jaitley is expected to launch the service in Mumbai.
