Sankarson Banerjee is the new CIO at RBL Bank. He has been with the National Stock Exchange as CTO- Projects. He will be reporting to Gurumurthy R, Head- Risk and Governance, at the bank. He will also be responsible for optimizing the legacy IT Systems and digital transformation of the bank. Banerjee plans to use predictive models and data analytics to provide digital user experience to the bank’s customers. Banerjee has more than two decades of experience in the industry and has worked in IBM, Accenture, IIFL, TDA Capital Partners, Deccanet Designs, Mphasis and Future Bazaar India. He also co-founded Indbazaar in 1999. Until March, Sanjay Sharma was the CIO at RBL. He shifted to APAC Financial Services as the founding member and chief digital and innovation officer. Sharma was responsible for technology, innovation and customer fulfillment initiatives for the bank.
