Bank of India has a new ED. The bank’s CGM (International Division) R.A. Sankara Narayanan, has been promoted to the position. He had joined the bank as a Direct Recruit Officer (DRO) in 1983. A post graduate, MBA and a CAIIB, he also has a Diploma in Treasury and Risk Management and P G Diplomas in Personnel Management and Financial Management. He became GM in September 2011 and was overseeing the international operations of the bank, covering 59 offices in 22 countries and contributing 29% of the bank’s business. Over a fast-growth career spanning 32 years in the bank, he has held multi-farious roles such as head, Treasury Operations, zonal manager, general manager, National Banking Group and at Corporate Office, besides 2 foreign stints at Tokyo and Singapore.
