Axis Bank has elevated Sanjeev Kumar Gupta as executive director. He will assume charge on 1 September. He will be responsible for the key corporate functions of the bank. Gupta is currently president and CFO of the bank. He will take over from Somnath Sengupta,, who has opted for early retirement, a bank release said here. “As Executive Director, Gupta will be actively involved in the bank’s overall strategy and have the specific responsibility for key corporate functions of the bank,” Axis Bank managing director and CEO Shikha Sharma said.
