Reserve Bank of India and Nepal Rashtra Bank have concluded an agreement on supervisory cooperation and exchange of supervisory information. RBI’s ED Meena Hemachandra and Nepal Rashtra Bank’s ED Narayan Prasad Paudel signed the documents. RBI has entered into MoUs, Letter for Supervisory Cooperation and Statement of Cooperation with supervisors of a few countries to promote greater cooperation and share supervisory information, the statement further said. With the agreement with Nepal Rashtra Bank, RBI has signed 27 such MoUs, one Letter for Supervisory Cooperation and one Statement of Cooperation.
