The Reserve Bank of India has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Brazilian central bank Banco Central do Brasil (BCB) on ‘Supervisory Cooperation and Exchange of Supervisory Information’. A press release said with this the RBI has signed 23 such MoUs, one letter for supervisory cooperation and one statement of cooperation with overseas regulators/supervisors. These are intended to promote greater cooperation and sharing of supervisory information among the authorities. The MoU was signed by Anthero de Moraes Meirelles, deputy governor for supervision, BCB and S.S. Mundra, deputy governor, RBI.
