Rajiv Sabharwal, who resigned as ED of ICICI Bank some time ago has been engaged by Jaipur-based NBFC Finova Capital as strategic advisor. After leaving ICICI Bank, Sabharwal has been with True North Managers (formerly India Value Fund Advisors) as a partner. Finova said he would now steer the company’s overall business strategy, growth and development verticals. Sabharwal has been in the banking industry for over 26 years. He was also on several committees of the Reserve Bank of India and Indian Bank’s Association. Finova is headed by Mohit Sahney as MD and CEO. It was founded in 2015 by Sahney and his wife Sunita and offers funding to financially excluded, unorganized micro, small and medium enterprises. Its client base includes small-time manufacturers, handymen and service providers working on a 30-35% margin, such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters, paanwalas, milkmen, laundrymen and hairdressers.
