Rahul Shukla moves to HDFC Bank

Rahul Shukla, who was with Citibank, has joined HDFC Bank as head of the bank’s corporate banking division. In fact, it is a swap of positions as K. Balasubramanian, who had been with HDFC Bank, had moved to Citibank to take charge of the bank’s corporate business in South Asia in November 2017. Shukla has been a career Citibanker spending over 25 years with different roles with the bank in India and abroad. At HDFC Bank, he will handle large companies with a turnover of Rs 1000 crore or more in metro cities and Rs 600 crore in non-metro cities. He will report to Kaizad Bharucha, ED and in charge of the bank’s wholesale banking division.

Another notable movement is that of S.M. Sundaresan, regional head, South Asia, Global Corporates, at Standard Chartered Bank, who left the bank to join Axis bank as head of corporate banking.
