RBL Bank appointed Pankaj Sharma as its chief operations officer. He will oversee the bank’s operations and corporate services function. He will be responsible for building robust, scalable and future ready operational systems and processes for the bank and would be reporting to R. Gurumurthy, head – Risk & Governance at the bank. Sharma has vast experience spanning over 2 decades. He was with Axis Bank, where he was heading the retail operations while running process quality, change management and lean Six Sigma initiatives across the bank. He was also heading the ATM channel, phone banking and branch automation and digital initiatives at the bank. Sharma has held several executive positions with GE Countrywide, ICICI Bank and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co.
