Bank Sohar has appointed Ahmed al Musalmi as CEO. He replaces Sasi Kumar who is leaving the bank after having served it for over 10 years. The bank said Musalmi will continue to spearhead the bank’s efforts towards further realizing exponential and sustainable growth. Mohammed Mahfoudh al Ardhi, chairman of the bank, with a diversified and extended experience in the banking industry, Musalmi will build on the bank’s success and help strengthen its capabilities as a market leader to continue achieving sustainable growth across sectors. Musalmi has a career spanning more than 2 decades and has functioned in leadership roles in National Bank of Oman, NBAD and Majan International Bank. Musalmi completed the Harvard Business School’s advanced management program and holds an MBA with distinction from the University of Luton, UK as well as an international diploma in financial services.
