Sushil Muhnot, who was removed as CMD of Bank of Maharashtra, has approached the Delhi High Court against the government’s action. He filed a writ petition and the same is expected to come up for hearing in December. The government had removed Muhnot as CMD four days ahead of his scheduled retirement on 30 September. It had earlier served a show-cause notice on him asking to explain why his services should not be terminated for allegedly occupying two houses – one in Mumbai and another in Pune, the headquarters of the bank
