Japanese bank Mizuho is opening a branch in Cambodia in response to rising investment from Japan in that country. Mizuho received an operating license from National Bank of Cambodia. The bank already has a representative office in Cambodia. National Bank of Cambodia said from now on, Mizuho can offer loans and receive deposits. It said despite there being many banks, the presence of Mizuho would be a bonus to the financial sector.
