Manappuram Finance celebrated its 20 years of listing on the BSE. To mark the occasion, MD & CEO V.P Nandakumar rang a closing bell at a function in the BSE. Speaking at the function, he said while the focus of the company in the last two decades was on gold loans, the company now intended to transform inti a more diversified NBFC. An increasing share of new business will come from areas like microfinance, housing and vehicle loans and SME lending, he said. The company’s group CFO Kapil Krishnan said the company has grown from an AUM of Rs 30 lakhs and merely six branches in 1995 to 3500 branches and an AYM exceeding Rs 10,000 crore today. MD & CEO of BSE Ashish Kumar Chauhan was also present in the function.
