Magma Fincorp has partnered with leading top implementation agencies and NGOs to offer freshly cooked meals and dry ration in several states to underprivileged and marginalized communities affected by the lockdown in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. The activity is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility program. The company said at a time when thousands of migrant workers and daily wage labourers have found themselves without work, the company is stepping forward to help the needy fight the critical financial impact of the outbreak. The NGOs/community organizations with which the company has collaborated are: Abhay Patra in Gujarat to feed daily wagers, marginalized and migrant labourers, Kolkata Gives Foundation to offer monthly ration to 200 homeless families in West Bengal, ISKCON Annamrita Foundation to feed 500 daily wagers and street dwellers per day in South & Central Kolkata, Calcutta Rescue to provide weekly ration to 150 daily wager families in North Kolkata, Bijan Banerjee Memorial Charitable Trust to provide weekly ration to 200 street dwelling families in central Kolkata, Kadam to offer monthly ration to 125 artisan families in West Bengal, Sevamob to offer weekly ration to 1000 daily wager/ marginalized families in Hyderabad, Alwar, Jaipur, Shahpura, Lucknow, Banaras, Bhopal, Chindwara, Akola and Ahmedabad and Future Hope to offer 15 days dry ration to 1000 daily wager/ slum dweller families in South Kolkata
