Macquarie Group is introducing a new digital banking system on the lines of popular apps like Spotify and Facebook. It is rolling out a new system for consumer transaction banking, which it says will be able to predict customers’ upcoming bills and their future cash flow, among other firsts. The app will also allow people to search their bank accounts as if they were using Google, by typing (or asking their phone) questions. The bank said it wants to introduce a system that can make digital banking more ‘personalized’. An official of the bank, said in building the new system the bank is looking beyond finance apps.
