Pravin Kutumbe has been appointed member (Finance and Investment) at the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). Kutumbe joins IRDA from LIC of India where he was executive director (finance and accounts). He had joined LIC in 1985 and had headed LIC’s Fuji overseas operations and has also held the roles of chief investment officer and chief financial officer. He is a chartered accountant with more than 33 years’ experience in the life insurance industry. He also has teaching experience as he was a visiting faculty in management institutions.
