Karur-headquartered Lakshmi Vilas Bank is planning to shift its corporate office to Chennai. The bank’s chief executive Rakesh Sharma confirmed that the shift will happen in June and that the regional office and some back office systems will continue to function at Karur. The bank had acquired a building at Guindy in Chennai, which is being readied for the purpose. Sharma said the shifting is for logistic convenience and the bank also foresees good business potential in Chennai.
