Sri Lanka’s DFCC Vardana Bank has appointed Lakshman Silva as its new CEO. He was COO at bank and later served as ED. He has extensive background and expertise in the financial services and banking industry and holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Silva commenced his career at the department of Inland Revenue in the country and later moved to the DFCC Group in 1987. He was instrumental in promoting and strengthening the diverse range of products and services DFCC Bank offers its customers. Following the amalgamation of DFCC Bank and DFCC Vardhana Bank, he was appointed as the deputy chief executive of the amalgamated bank.
