Anand Sinha, former deputy governor of RBI has been appointed as an industry advisor by global investment firm KKR. Sinha, who spent nearly 37 years in RBI, will advise mainly on risk management strategies at a time when KKR is stepping up its long-term capital flows into India. KKR’s industry advisors are part of the firm’s integrated model of value creation. These individuals include current and former senior executives that bring specific industry focus to support the building of KKR’s business and investment practice. Sanjay Nayar, India head of KKR said Sinha’s valuable experience will further enhance KKR’s ability to provide long-term debt and equity capital to Indian companies, helping them to scale their businesses while being mindful of risk management and regulatory requirements.
