Karur Vysya Bank said it will enter the business of bullion. It said in a statement gems and jewelry business constitutes an important part of the country’s economy and the bank hopes to extend its support to this important industry. The bank delivered its first shipment of bullion to clients in Chennai and Coimbatore recently. It is now in the process of ramping up the business to fully extend support to its existing set of customers across the country. The bank said it has put in place the highest levels risk management tools for the new line of business.
