Karur Vysya Bank donated Rs 5 crore to the Army Welfare CSR Fund. P.R. Seshadri, MD and CEO of the bank handed over a cheque for the amount to Gen Bipin Rawat, chief of army staff, in New Delhi recently. Seshadri said the contribution was a token of the genuine appreciation of the bank for the outstanding contribution of the Army towards keeping the country’s borders safe. Gen Rawat thanked the bank for its gesture and said that the amount would go a long way in supporting the ongoing projects initiated by the Indian Army for the welfare of ex-servicemen, war widows and their wards and dependents.
