Karnataka Bank has launched an anti-tobacco campaign aimed at creating awareness against the use of tobacco. The initiative, as part of its CSR activities, is in association with an FM Radio channel. The bank said the objective of the campaign is to create awareness among the public about the ill-effects of the use of tobacco and allied products and to realise the dream of having a tobacco-free society. The FM radio will spread the message through its channel and will also send out a special vehicle that will move in and around Mangaluru to reach out to the maximum number of people. The campaign will run for a week simultaneously in Mangaluru, Kalaburagi and Mysuru. MD and CEO of bank P. Jayarama Bhat flagged off the campaign.
