Karnataka Bank introduced its DigiLocker facility. The bank has integrated the facility with its ‘MoneyClick Internet Banking’ channel. The bank’s MD and CEO Mahabaleshwara M.S. said this facility would empowers the bank’s customers to access DigiLocker account through their ‘MoneyClick Internet Banking’ account using a ‘single sign on’ functionality. It will enable seamless and hassle-free login to DigiLocker, a secure cloud-based platform for storage, sharing and verification of digital documents and certificates, he added. DigiLocker stores the digital documents by the National E-Governance Division under the ministry of electronics and information technology. DigiLocker makes it easier to validate the authenticity of documents as they are issued directly by the registered issuers. Self-uploaded documents can be digitally signed using the eSign facility enabled in DigiLocker.
