HDFC Bank has launched SmartUp Unnati, a dedicated program for mentoring women entrepreneurs by women leaders at the bank. The program has been taken up by the bank to mark International Women’s Day. As a part of the program, over the next 1 year, senior women leaders from HDFC Bank with expertise spanning domains will mentor women entrepreneurs in helping them achieve their goals. The program is available only to existing customers and will initially target more than 3000 women entrepreneurs associated with the bank’s SmartUp program. Smita Bhagat, Country Head, Government and Institutional Business, E-Commerce and Startup Banking at HDFC Bank, said the bank firmly believes in providing ‘equal opportunity’ and have facilitated women’s empowerment over the years. She said the bank’s Smartup Unnati is the perfect platform for such women to benefit from the experience of the bank’s women leaders.
