Fino Bank gears up to meet customer needs during pandemic

Fino Payments Bank is making special efforts to meet the banking needs – especially cash needs – of its customers during the lockdown. The bank said its branch staff and merchant network comprising neighbourhood kirana stores and medical stores and Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) outlets are enabling access to banking. The bank has issued authorization letters and identity cards to designated people for this purpose. The bank’s nearly 200,000 merchant points spread across 550 districts facilitate banking services with 80% of them catering to the financial needs of the rural population. These micro ATM enabled points have emerged as critical avenues for cash withdrawal, both in urban and rural areas. In the first week of April, the bank recorded 4 million transactions across the country that resulted in the cash withdrawal of over Rs 12 billion. Any bank’s customers can come and transact using either a debit card or a micro ATM or through Aadhaar enabled payment system. Besides these conveniences, the field staff of the bank and merchants affiliated to the bank also offer door step banking services to senior citizens, pensioners or general public.
