Federal Bank builds houses for flood-affected

Federal Bank recently provided 80 houses to the flood-affected people in Baswad and Rajapurwadi in Kolhapur, built under its CSR project. The bank undertook complete rebuilding of these damaged houses in these villages very badly affected by the floods that happened in September-October 2019. It had earlier announced a comprehensive package for rebuilding of these villages and allocated an amount of Rs 3.06 crore for the project. The bank is also funding for reconstruction of 2 school buildings in these villages. This project includes besides building the schools, furnishing them with benches, tables, computers, projectors etc. The Bank has also sponsored milch animals to people who lost their livelihood, and given away machinery for cottage industries. Other public amenities like fogging facilities, public toilet and first aid items have also been provided by the bank. It has also planted 500 trees as part of the package in these villages. In addition, it has also provided garbage pick-up vans, water ATMs and solar power systems in these villages. Maharashtra Minister of State for Public Health, Medical Education, Textile, Food and Drugs Administration and Cultural Activity Dr Rajendra Patil Yadravkar was present at the functions at both the villages. Ajit Madhukar Deshpande, Deputy Vice President and Kolhapur Regional Head, and Merajkhan Sirajkhan Pathan, Assistant Vice President of the bank too were present.
