Equitas Small Finance Bank has introduced ‘selfeSavings’, an interactive digital savings account. The account can be opened with the web-based interactive video form hosted on www.equitasbank.com by using Aadhaar number, PAN and other basic details. Customers can set up a mobile banking PIN and start using their account instantly, the bank said in a statement. Sanjeev Srivastava, president and country head – Branch Banking, Liabilities, Products and Wealth Management at the bank, said the interactive account has been developed to engage with the millennials. This will be a standalone acquisition channel, he added. The selfeSavings account has no minimum balance requirement. It pays an interest rate of 6% per annum for balance below Rs 10 lakh and 6.5% for Rs 10 lakh and above. The account will also allow customers to make online money transfers for free (IMPS, NEFT and RTGS) and comes with a virtual Visa debit card that can be used to shop online.
