The National Bank of Bahrain has a new CEO – Jean-Christophe Durand – who will be taking charge soon. The bank had been without a CEO after Abdul Razak al-Qassim said he is retiring from the position. He will, however, continue with the bank for at least another month to serve as an advisor and help facilitate the transition. Jean-Christophe Durand has been with BNP Paribas where he was head of Corporate and Institutional Banking for the Middle East and Africa (MEA). He has also functioned as the CEO of Bahraini sovereign fund Mumtalakat.
