Dr. Pramod Pandurang Sawant(46), the honorable Chief Minister of Goa, will be the chief guest at the 13th Frontiers in Cooperative Banking Awards (FCBA) ceremony, to be held on 19th September 2019, at Goa. Dr. Pramod Sawant, who was sworn in as Hon. Chief minister of Goa on 17.03.19, holds the key portfolios of finance, home, personnel, vigilance, general administration, planning, statistics and evaluation, in the state cabinet of Goa. He has done his BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) and Masters in Social Work(MSW) and is also chairman of Ravindra Bhavan and former chairman of GSIDC(Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation). His cooperative background includes his association as former chairman with Goa Youth Multipurpose Coop Credit Society, Bhamai Pale; Gomanchal Farmer Co-Operative Society and Sai Nursing & Paramedical Institute.
The focus of the 2019 edition of the National Cooperative Banking Summit and Frontiers in Co- operative Banking Awards will be ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’ , or LOT. Through sustained and focused efforts, we wish to bring in brilliant youths into the leadership roles of cooperative banks and ready them to take on the role of leaders of tomorrow in this sector. We believe those who dared to think innovatively and differently create revolutions. The summit will address what is required for leaderships in domains like technology, security, business strategy, skillset upgrades and alter- nate businesses. We will ensure that reputed industry leaders participate in the discussions and share their perspectives.
The Summit and the Awards will be spread over 2 days with Day 1 reserved for Leaders Awards night to honor the chairmen, CEOs and CIOs showing revolutionary leadership, and Day 2 to honor the business leadership teams which really make the difference to the sector and its customers.
