Customers of DNB, Norway’s largest financial services group, can digitally identify themselves using the new ID check function in the BankID app if they have a valid passport or national ID card. According to DNB’s retail market manager, Ingjerd Blekeli Spiten, “it’s safe, easy, and you don’t have to show up at the office.”
The bank can now provide customers with a more convenient way to identify themselves. DNB provides a full range of financial services to retail and corporate customers, including loans, savings, advisory services, insurance, and pension products.
Customers with other valid credentials can also authenticate themselves digitally. This means that most of the customers will be able to identify themselves without having to physically attend, according to Spiten.
