Dena Bank, MAVIM tie up for financing SHGs

Dena Bank has entered into a MoU with Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM),  an institution that working among women-centric self-help groups, to finance the various schemes initiated by it. The organization will now coordinate with Dena Bank and community managed resource centers and act as a business facilitator. K C Chhipa, GM (Retail and MSME) of the bank signed the documents on behalf of Dena Bank, while MAVIM was represented by Kusum Balsaraf, acting vice chairman and MD. The bank said initially it will implement the scheme in Nashik, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Dhule, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Satara, Pune, Sangli, Ahmednagar, Parbhani and Jalna districts of Maharashtra on pilot basis. MAVIM will organize poor people to form women SHGs, impart financial literacy training and guide them to mobilize their saving, setting up linkages between the groups and the bank, it said.
