DBS Bank is reintroducing its Hack2Hire program with the aim of recruiting up to 100 of the technically brilliant people to join the bank. They will be the ‘brightest tech sparks’, the bank said adding this would be double the number of hires its hackathon program produced last year. The bank said in view of the success of the Hack2Hire recruits from last year, it is expanding the program’s scope to hire for a wider range of technology skill sets. Under the earlier program, the bank had recruited developers, data scientists and system engineers. In addition to these positions, the bank would under the current program, recruit scrum masters, user interface and user experience designers, mobile application developers, and solution architects. The Hack2Hire consists of two parts. The first is an online technical assessment designed by DBS’ technology program team to gauge the base skill sets required for the jobs. Those who pass the online technical assessment will then hack their way into solving real-life business in a hackathon session.
