Entrust, a company involved in securing digital identities and information, which was acquired by Datacard Group about a year ago, will ultimately merge with the latter. The unified entity will have a common corporate branch and will be named Entrust Datacard. Datacard said the launch of Entrust Datacard will drive important innovations for the markets it will serve. “We are combining our considerable industry expertise and technical depth to create the solutions that are required as the world continues to grow more connected and more mobile,” it said. While the company is launching a new corporate identity, it will be preserving the equity of the Datacard and Entrust product portfolio brands. In addition to existing offerings, the company is developing new solutions for consumer, citizen and enterprise applications that combine Datacard and Entrust technologies.
