The Sakahar panel, representing the current board of directors of Cosmos Cooperative Bank, had a landslide victory in the elections for the board of directors of the bank recently. The new board will be in office for the year 2015-2020. All candidates of the rival Nirdhar panel were defeated. Some 9,345 members out of 62,000 members cast their votes in the elections.The elected candidates and the votes they received are: Dr Mukund Abhyankar (5896), Madhukar Atre (5548), Dr Smita Jog (5537), Milind Kale (5468), Krishnakumar Goyal (5354), Govind Kshirsagar (5233), Jayant Shaligram (5100), Prakash Joshirao (5025), Sunil Sabnis (5017), Rajiv Sabade (4842), Pralhad Kokare (4813), Shripad Panchpor (4809) and Jitendra Shah (4026).
