City Union Bank is introducing a facility for its customers to generate credit cards instantaneously and online. The facility will be offered free of cost for its net banking customers, the bank said. A customer has to log on to his/her net banking account and seek a credit card. The customers must have a fixed deposit with the bank. N. Kamakodi, MD and CEO of the bank said, the bank will mark a lien on the FD and the customer will be allowed a credit limit of up to 80% of the deposit or a maximum of Rs 3 lakh. Once the card issued, the customer can go online shopping instantly. The bank has tied-up with MasterCard for this facility.
