Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce has updated its mobile banking for iOS with a new feature that allows opening a new account with the bank. Apart from mobile cheque deposits and allowing customers to access account information from a smartwatch, CIBC recently redesigned its iOS app to include fingerprint scanning Touch ID support. The version 7.4 of CIBC’s app is available to all iOS users, adding the option to open a chequing or savings account directly within the app, allowing customers to avoid visiting a physical branch.
