JPMorgan Chase & Co would be convering more than 70% of its Chase credit and debit cards to chip technology by the end of 2015. The bank said more than 80% of total Chase cardholders’ spending will be on chip-enabled cards and it is also upgrading its ATMs to accept chip cards. While the chip security technology for payment cards is more common in several countries, the US has been lagging behind, but many banks are planning to upgrade into this technology soon.
