Philippines’ Card Bank has introduced cardless ATM withdrawals. The bank has introduced machines that facilitate cardless withdrawals at some of its branches. The facility will especially help microfinance customers of the bank. Account holders need only a QR code generated by the bank’s konek2Card mobile application installed on their mobile device. Card Bank is a member of Card Mutually Reinforcing Institutions, a group of 21 Philippine institutions that aim to eradicate poverty through microfinance and community-based development programs.
