Canara Bank will soon open a branch in New York as it has got regulatory approvals from the US authorities. ED of the bank A.K. Gupta said the bank has received regulatory permission from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the bank will be opening branch in New York very soon. The bank is also looking at Dubai, Tokyo, Frankfurt and Qatar for opening offices, he added. At present, the bank has five overseas branches at London, Leicester, Shanghai, Manama and Hong Kong
