Canara Bank intends to open 250 branches across the country in 2015-16, says Rakesh Sharma, MD and CEO of the bank. He said the bank today has 5734 branches and 1932 ATMs. It had opened 1000 branches in 2014-15. Sharma also said the bank is formulating a strategy to bring down its NPAs below 4% by the end of the current financial year.
