Bhavin Shukla leaves Barclays

Bhavin Shukla has left Barclays, where he was a director at its India investment banking unit and is expected to join JPMorgan’s investment banking unit. At Barclays, he was heading the Indian infrastructure coverage. He has been with Barclays India for about 10 years. Barclays India investment banking division has been involved in several large transactions in the Indian infrastructure sector in the recent years. It was involved in the $1.38 billion sale of Welspun Renewables’ 1.1 gigawatt solar and wind asset portfolio to Tata Power Co. JPMorgan’s India investment banking division has engaged new functionaries, including Ravi Shankar, who was a managing director with Deutsche Bank.
