The Banks Board Bureau, constituted to recommend the government on selection of heads of public sector banks and financial institutions and help lenders in developing strategies and capital raising plans, has conducted its first meeting. The meeting was presided by former CAG Vinod Rai and was attended by RBI governor Raghuram Rajan, minister of state for finance Jayant Sinha and others. Other BBB members – ICICI Bank former joint managing director H N Sinor, Bank of Baroda former CMD Anil K Khandelwal and Crisil ex-chief Rupa Kudwa attended the meeting. Its ex-officio members Ameising Luikham, secretary department of public enterprises and RBI deputy governor R Gandhi also attended the meeting.
