The two-day banking strike planned to observe on 12 and 13 July has been postponed due to a restraint order by the Delhi High Court. In view of the Delhi High Court restraint order, the strike on 12th and 13th July stands deferred, All India Bank Employees’ Association general secretary C.H. Venkatachalam said. The unions in the banking sector had given the strike call protesting against the proposed merger State Bank of India with its five associate banks. The unions also oppose government’s plan to sell stakes in IDBI Bank.
