Bank of Baroda has entered into a MoU with Poorti Agri Services to help farmers buy agricultural inputs like fertilizers, seeds and pesticides. Poorti is a platform for online ordering and rural transformation where buyers and sellers of agricultural inputs meet and carry out trade. The tie-up with Bank of Baroda will help it to offer its services in a seamless manner to the farmers and agriculturists visiting the platform. G.B. Bhuyan, head- Rural & Agri Banking and CSR at Bank of Baroda and N. Balasubramanian, founder director, Poorti Agri Services signed the documents. Bhuyan said the bank will work jointly with Poorti and make the digital platform for farmers more purposeful so that the farmers can buy agri inputs online through payment gateway of the bank.
